Reclaim our Rivers!

pontoon boat tripAt the end of May TNA members took a guided pontoon boat ride on the Anacostia River. We learned some history of the river and the role it played in settlement of the area, including factors that have now led to its pollution. Both the Anacostia and the Potomac Rivers are vital to the health of our environment as well as providing recreational opportunities so close to our urban homes.

TNA monthly community meeting: Tuesday, February 26

Please join us on February 26 at Trinidad Rec Center!

This month DDOE will join us to tell us more about the RiverSmart Homes program, Neighbors United for DC Statehood will share their updates and let statehood supporters know how they can get involved, and we’ll learn about racoons and other urban wildlife. We’ll also have updates from neighborhood ANCs and MPD-5D. As always, we’d love to hear your community announcements!
