Looking for something to do on Saturday?

Stop by the Atlas Performing Arts Center to make some art! We’ll be crafting pieces for a large scale mobile to be displayed at the Atlas during H St Festival. Artist Kevin Reese joined TNA last weekend at the Trinidad Rec Center, engaging kids in creativity. Here is another chance for kids of all ages to be part of the Mobilizing Our Community project. Read more about it at our original post.

COMMUNITY MOBILE MAKING WORKSHOP – Trinidad Neighborhood Day

MOCSaturday August 15th
1:00pm and 2:30pm sessions
At the Atlas Performing Arts Center
Register here via Atlas PAC. Drop Ins are also welcome.
During the workshop, participants are introduced to the project and to models of mobiles created by other community members. They each then envision their own pieces for the mobiles, working with the material brought by Kevin, and draw, cut out and sand the pieces. Kevin also brings completed pieces on wires and demonstrates, with the help of the participants, how a mobile is balanced and assembled. As people are working together to create their pieces, we facilitate conversation around the project’s theme. Workshop is best for ages 8 and up.
