The Transformation of West Virginia Ave?

wva public worksOn June 4th, the Office of Planning held an open house introducing the public to the West Virginia Avenue Public Works Campus Master Plan project. The District’s vehicle maintenance, re-fueling and parking facilities along West Virginia Ave between Mt. Olivet Road and New York Avenue is set to be transformed “into a model of sustainable public works operations and a catalyst for community development.” Over the next 6 months there will be various opportunities for the public to contribute to the process, including open office hours, focus group visioning sessions and another open house in the fall.

West Virginia Avenue Public Works Campus Master Plan

The DC Office of Planning (OP), Department of General Services (DGS), and Department of Public Works (DPW) have teamed up to develop a Master Plan for a world-class Public Works Campus at West Virginia Avenue NE.  During the summer and fall of 2015, District government will be engaging local residents and other key stakeholders to shape the campus design.  Please feel free to review the project materials below for more details and contact OP directly with any ideas you may have.  To provide input or ask questions, please contact Christopher Delfs at christopher.delfs@dc.gov.
