The new playground at the Trinidad Recreation Center is open and waiting for residents. There is a skate area, a basketball court, a station for exercises, a younger kids play area (2 – 5 year olds) and a playground area for older kids (5 – 12 year olds).

The design for the play space started in the winter of 2014 and incorporates Trinidad’s kids’ wishes for the space. The theme is Captain Trinidad and allows kids to go “running, soaring through the air, climbing, and challenging the mind and body”.

The DC Parks and Recreation Department prohibits smoking, alcohol, and motorized vehicles. Dogs must be leashed. Please help protect the surfaces and equipment and keep the play areas clean by disposing of trash in the receptacles.
